The rules of the road, in plain language.
By using Galet, you agree to the terms on this page. Written to be readable, not just enforceable.
Last updated: April 2026.
Acceptance of terms.
By accessing or using Galet (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
What the Service is.
Galet is a mobile application and website that helps parents and caregivers track dietary intake, bowel patterns, and related observations for their children. The Service uses AI to help identify foods, analyse nutritional data, surface descriptive correlations, generate summary scores, and create clinical-ready reports.
Not medical advice.
See our SaMD disclaimer for the full regulatory posture.
User accounts.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Galet is designed for use by parents and caregivers, not by children directly. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for any activity that happens under your account.
Acceptable use.
You agree to use Galet only for its intended purpose: tracking dietary and health data for your own child or a child in your legal care. You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes.
- Enter data for individuals not in your care.
- Attempt to access another user's data.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise probe the Service for vulnerabilities outside of a coordinated disclosure.
Intellectual property.
The Galet application, website, brand, and all related content are the intellectual property of Galet. Your tracked data remains your property. You grant Galet a limited, revocable license to process that data solely for providing the Service to you.
Limitation of liability.
Galet is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Galet's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid Galet in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Termination.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, for operational reasons, or at our reasonable discretion. You may close your account at any time. Before termination, you can export your data or request that we delete it (see the Privacy page for how).
Governing law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
Changes to terms.
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app and on this page. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the modified Terms.
